Style Trend: A Pile of Leaves

When you think of iconic symbols for autumn, fall leaves are probably one of the most automatic things that come to mind. This season, leaf patterned items are popping up in unexpected, less-traditional ways, and celebrities are embracing the trend. Just take a look:

As always, I like to sprinkle trends into my existing wardrobe of basics mostly via accessories, or just a few bold statement pieces. I especially love the supercomfy, modern-gray leaf print shirt, chunky gold and leather cuff bracelet, and delicate dangle hoop earrings shown below. All items in the treasury are from CCCOE Team members:

Treasury Challenge- Who Won September and How you Can Win in October

The first California Crafters Club of Etsy Treasury Challenge for September kicked us off in high gear. We had all kinds of treasuries on the theme of "Halloween". Some of us went for the cute and autumnal themes, some of us kept it classy and elegant and others went for dark and "Spoooooooky"....like our stunning, winning treasury from SandySimone!

Our runners-up had some gorgeous treasuries too...take a peek and see if you can't find something to liven up your Halloween. DuettaDesigns offered up "Night of The Raven", an elegant and dark treasury. PuppyLovePrincess gave us party-ready goodies in her "Ghostly Gala" treasury.

October has us getting ready for Autumn and our theme is a super hot trend on etsy right now: Autumn Weddings! Come read the official Entry thread for all the details. Treasuries must be made Thursday 10/6/11 - Thursday 10/13/11. So get out there and make a beautiful treasury fitting the theme, use four members of the CCCoE team and an item from our September winner SandySimone, tag it with "3coe2" and then post a link to your treasury in this thread. Be sure to spread it across the social network...Twitter, Facebook, blogs, Pinterest, Kaboodle...whatever your favorite spot on the web is.

Each treasury must feature an item from last months winner....SandySimone (click her name to go to her shop). She has some real beauties to choose from ...like these lush, gorgeous carnelian earrings....perfect for autumn:

Or how about some adorable stacking rings?

Infinity Scarves

Scarves are very versatile accessories. They can dress up an outfit. They can add a layer of warmth. And they can show off your personal style.

Most scarves are made with long strips of some kind of fabric. These are open on the ends. But there is a style of scarf where those ends are connected, giving you a tube. These are infinity scarves.

They can be warm...

(Like these from Chewsy By Design and Simpletruths.)

Or fine...

(Like these from Murielle Knitwear and Ardent Reverie.)

Or textured...
(Like these from It's me, Mary and Button Tree.)

Or something that makes a statement...

(Like these from Nikifashion and foothill fibers n' photo.)

Whatever they are, they are not your typical scarf.

This post contributed by Liz from Zizi Rho Designs, who was cold today and who kind of wished she had worn a scarf.
